Roles¶
Anymate is built with hierachical roled-based access control. The roles determine which actions a user can perform in Anymate, but the user is still limited by which teams they have access to.
Mate¶
All Mates are created with a Mate role, which only allows them to access the API. It is not possible to log in to the web client using the credentials of a Mate.
Agent¶
The Agent role covers what a typical business user will need. This includes creating new tasks, moving tasks around, updating process rules and stopping a Mate.
Process Owner¶
The Process Owner role is designed with the subject matter expert in mind. This role will typically be what is needed for the business representative who has been involved with the developers, while developing the Process. The Process Owner typically knows the Process inside and out, and has elevated permissions to configure the Process.
Developer¶
The Developer role is for the people designing and building software automation.
Architect¶
Architect can do everything a Developer can do, but also have access to manage Users, Teams and creating new Processes. The Architect will typically be given to a few senior employees who are driving the automation development in your organization. The Architect can do almost as much as the Customer Admin, except updating and changing the subscription and payment details.
Application Manager¶
The Application Manager is designed solely to take care of User & Teams Management. Many large organizations like to have the responsibility of creating new users and managing user rights placed in IT Operations, seperate from the IT Development and the Automation team. Typically we see customers either using the Architect Role or the Application Manager role.
Customer Admin¶
This role is given to the user who created your Anymate subscription, and has access to everything from all other roles. There is no limit to how many Customer Admins you can have. However, the Customer Admin has access to change the subscription, update the subscription with more seats and access the payment details.
