What is a Queue¶
Queues are where tasks are stored.
Learnings from this page¶
- Understand what a queue is
- Know the different queue types
- Read the icons and colors
Queues explained¶
If it says on the process that there are 80 in Ready, this means that there is 80 tasks in the Ready queue.
There are different queues depending on what should happen to the tasks. You can see all the important queues in the Overview
No queues on the process?
If a process do not have any queues it is because it does not rely on tasks at all. If this is an error, please contact your Developers
since this is a setting that they control.
Marks and Icons next to the Queue¶
If there is Urgent
tasks, Overdue
tasks or tasks with Errors
in the queue, it is notified with warning icons and with colors.
The Overview always counts how many locked tasks there are so you can see if someone is working on tasks in the queue.
How to access a Queue¶
You can click the queue directly from the Overview to open up the queue. You can also click Tasks
in the header and choose which process and which queue you would like to see.
Types of Queues¶
Ready Queue¶
This queue is for all tasks that are ready to be solved. When a Mate start working it will look in the Ready queue.
If tasks has activation date in the future, they are in the ready queue but with the Not Active Yet
tag. It looks like this:
You probably dont have anything to do in the Ready queue unless you want to check something before a task is taken by the Mate.
Needs Data¶
This queue is for all tasks that needs more information, typically there are empty Input Fields where you need to help the Mate by filling it out. Once you fill out the empty Input field, the task will be checked by Anymate and moved to Ready if everything is ok.
Information that the Mate needs can be stuff like:
- Find an Email adresses for a specific customer so the Mate can send to it
- Choose the right information - if the Mate has found opposing data in systems and needs to know which one is correct
- Decide on something specific that it has not yet learned to understand.
... or whatever you agree upon with your
Developers
.
Needs Approval¶
Tasks can be set up to need an approval by a human before it can be solved. The 'weakest' approval rule is "everyone can approve", and the strongest is that a Manager needs to approve it.
Manual Handling¶
When the Mate has been working on a task it can send it back to Manual queue if it needs your help.
Compared to Needs Data
and Needs Approval
, Manual queue is after the Mate has tried to solve the task. The Mate can ask you for different kinds of help which can be seen in the queue as Reason and as a comment.
Solved¶
Once a task has been solved by either a Mate or by you, it will be in the Solved queue. This acts like an archieve where you can see what was solved, what happened, and when. When looking at a solved queue you can set the time span to see specific solved tasks.
Solved tasks are never deleted. Old solved tasks can be found through the search function.
Cancelled¶
This queue contains all the tasks that has been cancelled. This is an archieve just like Solved
. You are probably not going to use this queue very much since Cancelled is only for tasks that should not have been created in the first place.
